Cab Participates in the Memory Project
NJAHS participates in a project for youth around the world
The National Jr. Art Honor Society at Cab Calloway participated in this amazing project last school year. It is called the Memory Project, “is a nonprofit organization that invites art teachers and their students to create portraits for youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges, such as neglect, abuse, loss of parents, and extreme poverty.
We want the portraits to help the children feel valued and important, to know that many people care about their well being, and to act as meaningful pieces of personal history in the future. For the art students, we want this to be an opportunity to creatively practice kindness and global awareness.”
I am so proud of my students for taking a genuine interest and investment in this project that helps put smiles on the faces of children from Romania, as well as help fund some of their care.

Course Descriptions for Next Year
Find out what's happening!
Students met with their guidance counselors in March to create their preliminary course schedules for next school year.
Over the last few weeks, teachers had conversations with students regarding which classes would be the best fit, and have entered their course recommendations online. Students may view these recommendations by logging into their student HAC accounts between March 8-18. Course recommendations are only available to view via the student’s HAC. Parents, are encouraged to log-in and review the recommendations with their student after the student has met with his/her counselor.
