Dear Parents, Staff, and Students,

We hope this letter finds you well and enjoying a wonderful summer break. I am writing to you today with both a sense of gratitude and excitement as we bid farewell to a remarkable individual while welcoming a new member to our Cab Calloway School of the Arts administration team.

First and foremost, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Dawn Downes for her exceptional service to the Cab Calloway School of the Arts community. We are incredibly fortunate to have had her as part of our administrative team.  We wish her the very best in her new assignment within the district, knowing that she will continue to make a positive impact wherever she goes.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Corey Heacock as the new Assistant Dean of Culture and Climate at Cab Calloway School of the Arts. Dr. Heacock brings with her several years of administrative leadership experience and a passion for fostering positive school cultures. Her expertise and dedication will undoubtedly be invaluable to our school community.

Dr. Heacock will oversee school operations, provide direct support to students in grades 6-8 and oversee the Culture and Climate programs in our building. We are confident that her commitment to promoting a positive learning environment, along with her strong leadership skills, will greatly benefit our students, staff, and parents alike.
