Some of the high school dancers attended the 12th Regional High School Dance Festival in Norfolk, Virginia at The Governor’s School of the Arts from March 16th-19th. While at the festival, they participating in various master classes in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, African, yoga, Pilates, plus many more. Some of the dancers (10th-11th grade) also auditioned for summer dance intensives and was awarded scholarships to the following programs:
Madison C.– Coker College
Mary Kate P.–Ohio University, and also received a scholarship to Joffrey Ballet from their summer intensive, University of the Arts Summer intensive, and Seton Hill College
Rylee K.–AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts and University of the Arts Summer Intensive
Sambria M. – University of the Arts Summer Intensive in Philadelphia
All the dancers learned so much from all the master teachers
and enjoyed meeting other dancers from other performing arts schools.

In addition,
Tara Madsen Robbins taught an amazing advanced contemporary modern class while at the festival. All the dancers had amazing time and can not wait to go the National High School Dance Festival at Point Park University next year.
Please congratulate all the dancers that were awarded
scholarships. They worked extremely hard throughout the weekend!!!!! I’m very proud of all the dancers that participated in the festival.
