On Sunday December 11th, Senior Pyerce Oates played in front of a crowd of invited State Officials, office personnel, family and friends of the Biden’s.. It was a great honor to play at such a prestigious occasion. Pyerce has been playing at different events for years, however this was a highlight of an already early career.

Pyerce Oates, a senior at Cab Calloway School of The Arts. Through his elementary, middle school and high school years he has mainly played the piano as a soloist, accompanist and band member. But, also plays more than 24 other musical instruments.  Pyerce has developed his own piano styles through several genres of music, i.e. classical, jazz, and gospel. His community musical opportunities have come due to his  musical diversity and skills, humbleness, and for being an all around great young man. Tonight at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Pyerce will be playing a solo piece, “The Lord’s Prayer” in from of a sold out crowd during the “A Soulful Christmas” program!
