2022 Scholastics State Art Awards

Check out the young artists's work!

Cab Calloway School of the Arts has swept the Delaware Scholastics Art & Awards competition this year with over 60 individual awards given to Cab Calloway students in 11 different categories, including two awards in the prestigious Portfolio category. Our students were awarded more Digital Art Awards than any other school in the state, and Cab Calloway students won 15 percent of the overall awards in the state!

Cab Calloway students were also awarded several additional honors. Three Cab Calloway high school students, Natalie Icasiano ‘24, Chas S. ‘23, and Ava B. ‘23, were selected as Delaware Regional Scholastic Art Awards’ American Vision Nominees. Each region selects five works to nominate for the American Vision award. Think of this as a best in show type of award. One of the five nominees will be selected by the National Scholastics program to represent the Delaware Region.

Middle school student Heaven D. was awarded the prestigious DAEA Award of Excellence. This award is given to a student by the Delaware Arts Education Association in order to recognize outstanding artistic achievement.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our talented students who participated this year in the Delaware Scholastics Art & Awards competition and also to the teachers and admin who support them!
