Cab Open Monday, March 16th, for 2 hours (10:00am to noon)
Only To Allow Parents/Guardians to Pick Up Medication and/or Instruments
Cab Calloway: A community where the energy of arts and academics unite!
Good evening Cab Calloway Families:
As a reminder, schools and offices are closed through March 27th.
We will be opening however, Monday, March 16th, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM to allow parents/guardians to pick up medication from the nurse’s office OR specialized equipment relative to students with special needs. For Cab Calloway students, a parent may also come in to pick up a musical instrument during those same hours. Please limit your visit to these two hours and for these reasons. If you are unable to attend during the two hour window, please contact Dean Rumschlag, Dr. Hocking, or Dr. Robinson to make other arrangements. (The building will not be open other than on Monday, March 16th.) Please note that the Red Clay website will be updated throughout the closure. Thank you so much for your flexibility and support.
As a further reminder, this is a wonderful opportunity for enrichment activities or to complete outstanding work from the third quarter that has already been assigned. NO NEW MATERIAL will be assigned, and no work that is recommended by our teachers via Schoology to your students is required, nor will it be graded upon their return. We may make some recommendations to support students in their learning, but nothing NEW will be required. We do encourage all students to keep up with their studies.
We would further encourage all families to consider the recommendations of health officials during this time regarding activities students should engage in over the next few weeks. Be safe!

Join us for Side Show in the Cab Calloway Theater!
High School Musical - 6 DATES THROUGH MAR 15, 2020
Based on the true story of conjoined twins and famed entertainers Violet and Daisy Hilton, Side Show is a remarkable musical about acceptance, love, and embracing one’s uniqueness. As the starring act of a sideshow, helmed by an abusive ringmaster, Violet and Daisy Hilton are eager to accept an offer of fame, fortune, and potential romance proffered by Terry, a talent scout, and Buddy, a budding musician. As stars on the Orpheum Circuit, it seems that Violet and Daisy have everything they ever wanted. The one thing they lack, however, is the fulfillment of their hearts’ desires. Different as they are, when it comes to matters of the heart, Daisy and Violet have the same burning questions: “Who could proudly stand beside me? Who will love me as I am?” Nearly entirely sung-through, Side Show features soulful music, stunningly beautiful lyrics, and powerhouse show-stoppers, particularly the famous duets “Who Will Love Me as I Am” and “I Will Never Leave You.” A stunning reminder of the importance of accepting and celebrating what makes us unique, Side Show is a true story that will touch audience’s hearts.
